.Bruce was born in Roseville and has been an EL Dorado County resident since 1970. Music was always a part of Bruce's life and after seeing Stephen Stills perform in the early seventies, purchased a bass guitar vowing that he would be up onstage
preforming someday. After learning the bass, he decided
to write songs, so along with the help of band members learned to play the guitar. Since that time Bruce has written and recorded
a number of songs, several of them in Nashville. Bruce has been involved in various bands, choirs and musical assembles, and is
currently fulfilling his musical ambitions with the Retro Addicts enjoying a style and genre of music that focuses mostly on 50's thru 70's music.
Born and raised in Sacramento, and a 30+ yr El Dorado County resident, Dennis picked up his 1st drumsticks in 1963, after attempts at trumpet and saxophone. Learned the drums while listening to the vinyl of early Rolling Stones, Yardbirds, etc. Fortunate enough to hook up with a high school classmate (bassist) and a guitarist, Dennis started playing at parties with Clean Dirt at 16 yrs old. He played with two bands in the late 70's, then having to became a responsible citizen, quit the drums for 25+ years. Thanks to his band mate Joe's encouragement he's back at it, and getting the rhythm
John is a long time El Dorado County resident transplanted from the bay area, where at 11 years of age he decided to pick up a guitar and take lessons for a year or so. After learning all he could from the lessons, he decided to be self taught, learning techniques and styles by ear and his sheer talent. He has been grooving on classic rock since he first saw the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show, and has since learned to appreciate many genres such as acoustic styles, blues, and country. John is the "George" of this foursome, the introspective hard working musician's musician, and we couldn't do it without him ...
Joe Klein was born in Vallejo California and has resided in the local area since 1970. Joe learned to play the guitar at a young age and grew up listening to The Beatles, The Eagles, and Lynyrd Skynyrd to name a few. Joe has played with several local bands in the area performing at local venues, wineries and pubs. He was part of a gospel rock band called Heaven Road and took part in recordings and two CDs. He performed locally with the Simms band for 5 years and performed live on stage with Ike Turner's daughter. Joe helped to start the Retro addicts band so he could play and sing his favorite classic rock hits of the 60s and 70s.
